Miraj Samarakkody
Differential geometry, scientific machine learning, and formal proofs.

I’m an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Tougaloo College. I trained as a differential geometer at Texas Tech University, studying variational problems for curves and surfaces, and I now work where geometry meets computation. My current work uses physics-informed neural networks (PINNs) to compute geometric quantities and Lean 4 to formally verify classical theorems.
